Victor Sperandeo 빅토르 스페란데오 , 전설의 트레이더

 

 빅터 스페란데오, 최근에 읽었던 마크 미너비니의 책 Trade like a stock market wizard에서 마지막에 인용한 인물이다. 

그의 어록을 보고 감명 깊어 Victor Sperandeo 에 대해 조사하기로 했다. 그의 어록부터 옮겨 보자면 

 I view the objectives in trading as a three-tiered hierarchy.

First and foremost is the preservation of capital.
When I first look at a trade, I don’t ask, “What is the potential profit I can realize?” but rather, “What is the potential loss I could suffer?”

Second, I strive for consistent profitability by balancing my risk relative to the accumulated profits or losses. Consistency is far more important than making lots of money.

Third, I attempt to achieve superior returns. I do this by increasing my bet size after, and only after, periods of high profitability.The key to building wealth is to preserve capital and wait patiently for the right opportunity to make the extraordinary gains.

 

  그가 말하기를 그에게는 가장 중요한 세가지의 원칙이 있는데, 

첫째, "자본을 보호하라" 

- 처음 트레이드를 할 때 먼저 스스로에게 묻는 것은 '내가 감당할 수 있는 손실은 얼마까지 인가?' 이지 '내가 얼마나 잠재적으로 수익을 얻을 수 있을까?' 가 아니다. 

 

둘째, 지속적으로 수익을 내기 위해서, 지금까지의 내 수익 혹은 손실에 비교하여 내 포트폴리오를 점검한다. 

-중요한 것은 많을 돈을 버는 것이 아니라, 꾸준하게 실행하는 능력(Consistency) 이다. 

 

셋째, 뛰어난 수익을 얻기위해 시도한다. 이것은 '피라미딩' 즉 내 베팅 사이즈를 점점 늘려나가는 것으로 인해 가능해진다. 다만 베팅은 꼭 높은 수익을 달성 한 이후에야만 늘릴 수 있다. 

 

부를 이루는 핵심은 자본을 보존하고 인내심있게 기다리며 기회를 포착한 후  뛰어난 수익을 얻는 것이다.
